I NEED to get rid of this urinary tract infection WITHOUT going to the doctors?
I can feel that I have a urinary tract infection starting because when I urinate it burns a tiny bit, im peeing more than normal and my urine is cloudy. Can someone tell me how to get rid of this thing without medication (cipro, AZO.. etc.)? If you feel like reading it, heres why I don't want a trip to the doctor's.
I'm 15 and about 5 months ago I got a horrible UTI. I was given medication, it came back.. I was given more medication, it came back.. I was given stronger medication, It came back.. yet again, I was given even stronger medication and (you guessed it), it came back. Eventually it just went away on its own but the costs to my parents were substantial. I don't want any more antibiodics and I don't want my parents paying for more doctors visits. Please dont tell me to tell them about it, because im not going to. I need to know how to get rid of it without them finding out. I can't buy AZO and i already know to drink water and cranberry juice.
I absolutely cannot go to the doctor again. It's far too expensive and I've had so many antibiodicts its weakened my immune system (answers)
Very sick hoo-hah. Lower back pain and, uh, unusual discharge?
My lady parts have been throwing a hissy fit for two full months now.
It started with what I thought was a yeast infection. I treated it with prescription Terazol-3 two times in a row, followed by Diflucan, followed my Monistat-7, followed by FIVE doses of Diflucan — one a day for five days.
Nothing got rid of the problem for more than a few days, max. Then I went to another doc, and she diagnosed me with BV, a yeast infection and a UTI all at once. I got treated for all of these (Flagyl for the BV, Cipro for the UTI and a double dose of Diflucan for yeast), but the yeast was still a problem.
After two MORE doses of Diflucan, my yeast cultures came back negative when I went to the doc again. No yeast, and there was very little discharge of any kind — but that may have been because I just got off my period. But I was still itchy.
The doc said I most likely just had some residual itching from prolonged irritation, but now, about six days after I last saw the doc, I'm just not buying it. Over the last few days, I've developed a thin, yellowish discharge that's much heavier than normal for me. I'm a little itchy, but it's nothing severe. There's a slight odor, and you could probably call it fishy, but it's not strong enough to call foul. Sometimes the discharge is a greyish color.
My BF and I had sex a couple times, and both times, even though I thought I was done with my period, I had heavy spotting afterward. We decided not to get busy again until I'm feeling better.
Well, yesterday, I developed lower back pain. It keeps getting worse, to the point where I had trouble falling/staying asleep last night.
Does ANYONE know what the heck is wrong with me? Has anyone been through a nightmare like this? I'm starting to get really afraid that this is something much more serious than a garden-variety case of BV or candida/yeast.
Any insight would be so helpful!
(P.S.: It's EXTREMELY unlikely that this is STD-related. I've had the same partner for 2 years, and we've used condoms from the beginning. I was tested a few weeks ago for trich, gonorrhea and chlamydia. All tests were negative. I was tested for herpes about a year ago, and that was negative too. I have no reason to believe my partner's been fooling around with anyone else, either.) (answers)
Where to go from here-- Recent Hospitalization for Kidney infection, symptoms back but negative urine culture!?
I know there are always posts that are similar, but if anyone has been in this situation I'd appreciate some guidance. So, about 3ish weeks ago I went to the doc for normal UTI signs-- a reputable office. Docs office didn't seem to worried, and gave me a script for an antibiotic. Later that night, I ended up in the ER with an accute kidney infection. That doc put me on some stronger meds for 10 days. I was feeling much better, but it has been a little over a week after meds, and I am starting to feel the same issues creeping up with back pain and flakey urine. I went to the doc for a followup, and they said test was neg. I was skeptical, bought the strips to test at home, and they came back on the lighter end of positive-- the same day. I feel like I'm going nuts here because I don't know if I'm really looking too far into any ache and pain, whether to trust some machine, or some cheapo strips. So I guess my question is, I have heard birth control (I am on the Nuvaring and it was out for a few days the time I was in the hospital) and or an antibiotic of cipro cause a false negative? Like i said I have not taken it for about a week and a half. And why would a cheapo test tell me positive when a fancy machine says 0% down the line? (answers)
